E&I Public Sourcing aims to leverage its consortium purchasing expertise to connect state government agencies, cities, municipalities, counties and school districts (K-12) with high quality, easily accessible contracts.
The State of Minnesota’s Materials Management Division provides cooperative purchasing opportunities (CPV). This is a free service in which eligible organizations can purchase goods and services from more than 800 state contracts directly from vendors. Cooperative purchasing leverages economies of scale that very often result in lower pricing and better terms and conditions. The Coalition for College Cost Savings (The Coalition) was conceived as a catalyst for the first comprehensive and collaborative purchasing effort focused exclusively on independent, private higher education. The Cooperative Purchasing Network (“TCPN”) assists Region 4 ESC in helping other public agencies and non-profits reap the benefits of national leveraged pricing, with no cost to the member. TCPN leverages one of the largest pools of purchasing potential. This is accomplished by competitively soliciting proposals and awarding contracts for commonly purchased products and services. Through the TCPN solicitation process, Region 4 ESC awards contracts covering Facilities, Furniture, Office Supplies & Equipment, Security Systems, and Technology and other goods and services industries.
The purpose of the Midwestern Higher Education Compact is to provide greater higher education
opportunities and services in the Midwestern region, with the aim of furthering regional access
to, research in and choice of higher education for the citizens residing in the several states which
are parties to the compact.
